About Me
A Bit All Over the Place
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where I went to school through high school before continuing on to the University of Arizona. There, I triple-majored in Computer Science, Mathematics, and East Asian Studies (Japanese Language Emphasis). I even spent a summer studying abroad at Waseda University in Tokyo.
After graduating, I earned a Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Southern California and afterwards worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at a startup called Lightsense Technology. That experience eventually led me back to the University of Arizona and into Optics, where I’m now pursuing a Ph.D. in Optical Sciences as part of the LOFT Lab. There my research focuses on Machine Learning and Algorithm Optimizations for large-scale optics and fabrication.
And this little space on the web is where I share these projects, my research, and the personal side of my life journey.

East Asian Student Language Association (EASLA)
An online student-run club for Japanese language exchange I cofounded during my time at college, now has an official website I built and deployed featuring global time-zone support and an integrated Google Calendar for live and accessible scheduled sessions.
